State Approvals For New Mexico

NOTE  Our courses are presented in an online, interactive format.   We are unclear about how many credit hours may be taken through interactive internet coursework, by New Mexico licensed professionals.  It is important that you check with your board about any limitations which may be placed upon distance learning.  We are NOT traditional home study.  We are online education using interactive technology.  Click the blue link at the beginning of this paragraph to see what this means. 

1.   FOR MH AND AOD/DRUG ABUSE COUNSELORS AND MFT's:

PUBLISHED COUNSELOR REGS FOR CE:

"16.27.16.9        ACCEPTABLE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES:

A.   approved by certifying groups such as the National Board for Certified Counselors ........

B. approved by other regulatory boards of related mental health or substance abuse fields, including psychiatry, psychology and social work;

C. sponsored by international, national, regional or state mental health professional associations including psychiatry, psychology and social work, or state and federal divisions of substance abuse; . . ."

2.  FOR SOCIAL WORKERS:

CEU By Net is a certified CE Provider for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). In addition, we are licensed as a CE Provider for multiple ASWB State Boards - the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, the California BBC, the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners, and FLORIDA Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

Our courses meet the requirements of the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners and the New Mexico Therapy Practice Board Regulation & Licensing Department as they appear in published regs below, for continuing education for social workers.  There may be other regulations of which you are aware, however.
